Check In Policy

The hotel check-in procedure is designed to ensure a smooth, efficient, and secure commencement of a guest’s stay. Adherence to the following standards is required for room access.

1. Key Timeframes

Policy Element

Standard Time

Purpose

Check-in Time

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

This window allows the housekeeping team adequate time (usually 3–4 hours) to service rooms after the standard check-out time (typically 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM).

Check-out Time

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Required for all departing guests to vacate the room and allow for timely room turnover.

2. Required Guest Credentials

  • Valid Government-Issued Photo Identification (ID): This is required for identity verification and must match the name under which the reservation was made.
  • Method of Payment: A major credit card or debit card is required for all reservations. This card will be authorized for the full room charges (if not prepaid) plus an additional amount to cover incidental charges (e.g., room service, phone use, damages). This authorization hold is released upon check-out, pending a clear account.
  • Reservation Confirmation: While not always mandatory, having a physical or digital copy of the booking confirmation can expedite the verification process.

3. Early and Late Arrivals

Situation

Policy

Key Action Required

Early Check-in

Subject to availability. Early access is not guaranteed as rooms may still be in the process of cleaning and inspection.

Guests are encouraged to inquire upon arrival. Luggage storage is available free of charge until the room is ready.

Late Check-in

Most properties offer a 24-hour front desk to accommodate late arrivals.

If arriving significantly past the standard check-in time (e.g., after 10:00 PM), guests are advised to contact the hotel in advance to prevent the reservation from being cancelled as a "no-show."

4. Group and Third-Party Reservations

  • Group Check-in: For group bookings, it is recommended that a single designated representative handles the check-in for the entire party to streamline the process.
  • Third-Party Payment: If the room is paid for by someone who is not present at check-in (e.g., a company or family member), a credit card authorization form must be completed and submitted to the hotel's finance department prior to arrival.
